RCL's Best Rookie Chosen Wednesday, November 30th , 2061 2061 was a much better year than Allen Larson expected. This spring he was overjoyed at just making the Havana roster. Not only did he make the team, he was the starting left fielder. Then it got even better. In his debut season, Larson hit .308 with 147 hits in 478 at-bats, 38 home runs, 114 RBIs, 77 bases on balls and a .404 on-base percentage -- good enough numbers to be honored with the Roberto Clemente League Rookie of the Year Award. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 28. Jonathan Sibiga of the Mexico City Luchadores finished second in voting with 12 first place votes, while Mike Flemming of the Asheville Moonshiners finished third with 7 first place votes.
