Mounties Move on to League Pennant Tuesday, November 1st , 2061 The Montreal Mounties are riding high after winning the Divisional Series and eliminating the Eureka Hornets by a series score of 4-2. The final blow came tonight at Mount Royal Grounds, when Montreal secured its spot in the League Pennant with a 7-2 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said third baseman J.N. Martin, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Martin certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .408 with a .463 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 1 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 16 runs. The League Pennant matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
