Pilots Prevail, as Wild Card Round Goes to the Wire Friday, October 14th , 2061 The Jacksonville Pilots are heading to the Divisional Series, having narrowly defeated the Chicago Eclipse. Jacksonville edged Chicago in the series 4-3, with a win at Arnold Field in the clinching game by a 6-4 margin. John Popper turned in a strong offensive performance for the Pilots and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a ABL Championship win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Popper continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .387 with a .412 on-base percentage.
