The Canby Lancers went home winners at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS, thanks in large part to starter Jay Sherwood. Sherwood silenced the Pitman High Panthers, enabling Canby to grab the 8-0 win. James Herron picked up the save, his 1st. Canby has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Also pitching in was Canby catcher Duane Chapman, who hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, Chapman went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
