With Late Score, Ramrods Beat Mounties
The inspired effort of Montreal center fielder Gene Johnson was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Huntington Station Ramrods. Johnson went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3. The Ramrods now have a record of 26-46 with the win over Montreal.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jeremy Nowell in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Randy Mowers to win the game for Huntington Station. The home crowd went nuts.

"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Nowell. "Maybe this win will help."
