Mustangs Get Clutch Win, 7-6
Getting a good performance from center fielder Jake Ferris, the San Marin Mustangs defeated the Topeka West Chargers, 7-6. Ferris was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Mustangs. The win went to Justin Lynn in relief, making him now 1-2. Ryan Woller took the loss for Topeka West. The Mustangs now have a mark of 18-24.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when San Marin catcher Aaron Andrews, facing Joe Keefer, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Mustangs the 7-6 win.

Mustangs manager Elijah Crooks wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
