Armada Walk It Off for 40th Win of Season
The Quebec Armada rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher John Tuck to a win, beating the Bloomington Blazers, 3-2, at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Quebec reliever Nick Cockrell snagged the win, upping his record to 7-5. Erik McKnight shouldered the loss. The first-place Blazers now sit at 47-37.

The Armada were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 25-year old shortstop Fernando Puente landed a big blow. He turned a 2-2 slider from Erik McKnight into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Lucky 7 Ballpark denizens into a frenzy and sent the Armada home with a thrilling 3-2 win.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews. "We just didn't cash in."
