The Jacksonville Pilots firmly defeated the West Island Jazz, 14-3, at Stade Claude Raymond. The Jacksonville offense was lit. Luis Velez, for one, had a solid game. He went 4-6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for the Pilots. Jonathan Millsap, who is tied for 6th in the TML with a 4.44 ERA, was the winner. He's now 8-1. The loser was Jordan Phelps. The first-place Pilots hiked their record to 54-29.

Early in the game, Velez had a 2-run double for Jacksonville. It was his 26th double of the season and put the Pilots on top, 2-0.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Velez told the Jacksonville Daily News.
