The Lerna Lions picked up a win at Ottawa HS Grounds, knocking off the Terra Linda Trojans, 3-1. Starting pitcher Nick Galea was a big reason why. Tom Goggin earned the save for Lerna. The 4th-place Trojans have dropped 5 straight games.

Lerna used the timely hitting of Kyle Brunner to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Lions on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Enjoyed this one," Galea told the Lerna Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
