Falcons Saddle Cardinals with 8-3 Loss
|
The Frontance Falcons powered past the Kearny High Cardinals, 8-3, at Loggers Ballpark. Jon Mack went 3-5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. Frontance reliever Aaron Kukla picked up the win, bumping his record to 5-1. Blaine Munch was collared with the loss. The Falcons, now 25-13, know that wins in April count the same as wins in September.
Mack had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Falcons went on to win.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Mack told the Frontance Gazette. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
