Warhawks Drop Voodoos with Late Score
|
Rutland pitcher Howard Watson gave the Warhawks all they could handle, but in the end, Seminole left Ballpark of Morelia HS with a 6-4 win. Watson allowed 1 earned run on 6 hits over 5.1 innings. The second-place Voodoos have lost 4 straight games.
Contributing to the Seminole win was Justin Pease. In the top of the eighth, the 15-year old first baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 6-4, the Warhawks in front.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Pease told a Seminole News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
