The Eureka Hornets thumped the Bighorn Bison, 8-2, at Ram Brewery Ballpark. Ray Goodwin was a big reason his team got the win. Goodwin went 3 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. The Hornets lead the Roberto Clemente League Central Division by 3½ games.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Goodwin hit a run-scoring triple off David Franco. It propelled the Hornets into the lead, 3-2.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Goodwin told the Eureka Daily News.
