The Asheville Moonshiners could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Victor Ruiz into a win. Instead, the Dallas Texans prevailed, 7-6, in 11 innings. Ruiz went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Dallas reliever Gerardo Grande was the winner. His record is now 5-3. The losing pitcher was Steven Shiplack. The Texans now have a mark of 26-45.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dave Bedford in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off fan favorite Steven Shiplack to win the game for Dallas. The home crowd went nuts.
