Lions Pull Even With 6-4 Victory
Lerna played host to Downsview at the friendly confines of Ballpark of Ecatepec HS.

The Lerna Lions downed the Downsview Mustangs, 6-4, at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS. Alan Bonacci led the way, going 2-for-3 for Lerna. Lerna reliever Jason Detrick got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Kyle Krauss was tagged with the loss. Chris Hitchcock sewed up the save, his 9th.

Bonacci contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Lerna in the bottom of the seventh. With his team trailing 4-3, Bonacci took a fastball from Kyle Krauss and stroked the single to right. His 35th hit of the season allowed the Lions to leap in front, 5-4.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Bonacci.

Lerna is now 15-15.
