Warriors Deal Mavericks 5-4 Loss
The Walnut Creek Warriors topped the El Paso Mavericks, 5-4, in 10 innings at Castlerock Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Walnut Creek pitcher Matt White. Walnut Creek leads the Thurman Munson League West Division by 14 games.

The Warriors got a clutch hit from catcher Jonathan Morales. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Warriors.

"Matt giving us the start that he did was huge," said Walnut Creek manager Armando Medina.
