The Buffalo Bison downed the Bloomington Blazers, 3-1, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Stellar pitching by Ben Molter had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. The winner was Molter. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Ciro Della Volpe. Buffalo, at 36-33, occupies 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.

The Bison got a big at-bat from third baseman Josh Bye. For the game, Bye was 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead.

Bye attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
