Earthquakes Lose at Home, 9-1, to Chicago
Larry Gilliland was a vital contributor to the 9-1 Chicago victory over San Francisco. The Eclipse shortstop went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Earning his 1st save of the year was Joe McKnight. This win makes it 6 in a row for Chicago.

Rich Van Winkle had a big 2-run double for the Eclipse in the top of the fourth inning. With Chicago leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Chris Crawford, who finished 3rd in the RCL in ERA with 3.39 in 2061, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eclipse ahead, 4-1.
