Houghton turned a good effort from starter Jeromir Hamrlik into a win over the Bighorn Bison at Golden Goebels Park. The final score was 7-2. Hamrlik yielded 2 runs over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 6-4. The second-place Gremlins are now 40-30, the Bison 39-31.

Leo Galdamez had a big 2-run double for the Gremlins in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Houghton leading 3-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a cutter from Elias Zuniga, who finished 3rd in the RCL in wins with 17 in 2053, and swatted a double to left. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gremlins ahead, 5-2.
