The Tokyo Yakult Swallows did little to support starter Jin-man Park against the Yomiuri Giants, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Giants, striking out 10 and surrendering 6 hits. The performance from Park allowed Tokyo Yakult to escape with the 1-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Jin-man, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Park told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
