The Vancouver Pioneers pinned a convincing loss on the Buffalo Bison, 18-1, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Ramon Villanueva was a main factor in the win. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6 for Vancouver. Danny Gifford was the winner. He's now 5-5. The loser was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Felix Reina Jr.. The Pioneers saw their win-loss record go to 31-37. At the same time, the Bison fell to 37-31.

The Pioneers got a big hit from left fielder Ross Dobesh. Facing Buffalo pitcher Mike Stone in the top of the fifth, Dobesh pounded a bases-clearing double to center. His 9th double of the season put the Pioneers ahead, 10-0.

"That was brutal," said losing manager Jon Green.
