Cabo San Lucas Toreros starter John Koch turned in a sparkling performance against the Bloomington Blazers, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Koch yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-6. Andy Carr wrapped it up, recording his 7th save.
Danny Douglass, who finished 2nd in the RCL in doubles with 53 in 2060, had a direct impact on the outcome. Douglass contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Cabo San Lucas up, 3-1.
In postgame comments to the Cabo San Lucas Observer, Douglass said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
