Win Lifts Eclipse to 37-32
|
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Millennium Field.
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jason Weiss into a win. Instead, the Chicago Eclipse prevailed, 5-3. Weiss threw 5.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Chicago has won 5 straight games.
Chicago took a 4-3 lead on Gerard Parr's 8th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Parr hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Cabo San Lucas pitcher James Magee visibly frustrated.
Chicago manager Zayar Adelabu praised his team's "businesslike approach."
