Barreto Goes Deep Twice in 19-6 Thunderbirds Win
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Royal Oak Field.

The Surrey Thunderbirds topped the Royal Oak Leprechauns by a score of 19-6. Leading the way was shortstop David Barreto. Barreto hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds lead the RCL LA West Division by 2 games.

Angel Sanabria had a big 2-run double for the Thunderbirds in the top of the fourth inning. With Surrey leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Rob Alexander and swatted a double to left. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Thunderbirds ahead, 4-1.

Sanabria said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
