Pipers Lose at Home, 3-1
River Falls and San Carlos played a hard-fought contest.

In a tight tilt between the River Falls Falcons and the San Carlos Pipers, Pedro Carbajal was the deciding factor. The River Falls left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Carbajal, the winner, moves to 5-16. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 5 walks. Justin Sessoms, who is tied for 3rd in the TLA in saves with 22, nailed down the save.

River Falls used a clutch at-bat from Harry Erdahl to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Falcons ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Falcons manager Jian-guo Yang, "I like our chances."

River Falls now has a record of 74-70 with the win.
