Texans Collect 10-8 Win Over Warriors
The Dallas Texans defeated the Walnut Creek Warriors in 15 innings, 10-8, in part because of left fielder Chris Sawyer. Sawyer went 3-6 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Texans. Dallas reliever Jim Miller picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ray Clemens took the loss. The Texans saw their record improve to 38-32.

Greg Shelton came through with a big-time hit for Dallas. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the 15th inning to give his team the lead, 10-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

In postgame remarks, Shelton simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
