The Chicago Eclipse got a stellar effort from pitcher Chris Titus, helping Chicago score a win over the visiting Montreal Jazz, 5-1. Titus, now 8-3, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The Eclipse improved their record to 33-34 with the win over Montreal.

Sean Martineau had a big 2-run double for the Eclipse in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Chicago leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Raul Olveda and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 25th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eclipse ahead, 3-0.

Martineau called the win "a team effort."
