Victory Pushes Blue Jays Record to 117-14
|
The Toronto Blue Jays locked up a win at Exhibition Stadium, knocking off the Ft. Worth Werewolves, 3-2. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Mark Thomsen. He played a major role in the triumph. After today's action, Toronto sits at 117-14; Ft. Worth slips to 55-76.
German Silva went 1-4 for Toronto. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Dan Stultz. It was his 68th RBI of the season.
"Mark pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Toronto manager Bryan Fulcher.
