Gremlins Even Record with 5-2 Victory

The Houghton Gremlins beat the Mexico City Luchadores, 5-2, at Golden Goebels Park. Houghton designated hitter Leo Galdamez banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. Houghton pitcher Luis Moreno got the win. He's now 3-1. Greg Young was tagged with the loss. Ruben Rodriguez closed the game out for Houghton, earning his 2nd save.
Houghton right fielder Miguel Trujillo helped the Gremlins go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Trujillo hit a run-scoring single off Mexico City pitcher Greg Young.
Houghton manager Dane Freeman said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
With the victory, the Gremlins record stands at 34-34.
