The Milwaukee Millers spoiled a good performance by Montreal left fielder Arnold Lysek, bumping off Montreal, 6-5, at The Mandalore Complex. Lysek was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Milwaukee reliever Ron Landerman picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Eric Wilkinson was saddled with the loss. With the win, Milwaukee goes to 35-44, while the Mounties fall to 49-30.

Pat Lewis, who finished 5th in the TML in hits with 194 last year, chipped in a run-scoring single for Milwaukee in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
