The Buffalo-Quebec matchup turned into a real hit parade.

The Buffalo Bison beat the Quebec Armada in a game in which both teams scored early and often. The final score was 14-11, Bison. One of the hitting stars was right fielder Jonathan Schimmel. Schimmel, who is tied for 7th in the TML with a .601 slugging percentage, went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Jon Wambach got credit for the win, improving to 5-9. He allowed 6 runs on 13 hits in 6.2 innings. Mike Waldrup closed the door for Buffalo, picking up his 16th save of the year.

With Buffalo trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Schimmel hit a fastball from John Tuck for a 3-run home run. It was his 16th home run of the season and put the Bison ahead, 3-1.

Schimmel said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.

The 4th-place Bison sport a record of 36-42.
