The Bighorn Bison powered past the Kansas City Tornadoes, 13-5, at Debris Field. Bob Ferreira provided some of the pop. Neanderthal went 3-5 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Bighorn pitcher David Franco earned the win, hiking his record to 7-5. Paul Alexander suffered the loss. Bighorn is now 42-37.

The Bison got a big hit from right fielder Jay Starr. Facing Kansas City pitcher Allan Goodwin in the top of the eighth, Starr pounded a grand slam home run to left-center. His 12th home run of the season put the Bison ahead, 13-4.

"It never gets old," said Starr. "Winning, that is."
