San Francisco used a superb performance from starting pitcher Steve Beauregard to down the Bloomington Blazers, 9-0. In 5.2 innings, Beauregard surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Josh Christie closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.

Gil Delk had a big 2-run home run for the Earthquakes in the top of the third inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 29-year old left-handed pitcher Mike Hursh and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Earthquakes on top, 3-0.

"I had everything working," said Beauregard.
