Leeney Powers Earthquakes Offense
Junior Leeney was the difference-maker for the San Francisco Earthquakes in what turned into a shootout with the Maple Marauders. Leeney, who finished 5th in the TML in slugging percentage with .604 last year, went 3-for-5 in the 16-12 Earthquakes win. The Earthquakes improved to 39-28.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Leeney delivered big-time for San Francisco, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Brandon Anderson. The game-changing hit put the Earthquakes on top, 14-12.

"This is a very good team," said Leeney. "We have the chance to do something special."
