Ridge Runners Score Late to Beat Earthquakes, 8-7
The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners withstood an impressive performance by San Francisco designated hitter Jeff Spain to defeat the Earthquakes, 8-7, at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Spain was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The 4th-place Ridge Runners now have a record of 37-40.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Eagle Rock catcher Timothy McAlear, facing Dakson Rocket, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Ridge Runners the 8-7 win.

"This place was rocking at the end," McAlear said.
