The Kelowna Heat romped over the London Monarchs, 20-3, at Brantford College Grounds. Kevin Tippett led the way. He was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Kelowna. Ray Paquet, the winner, is now 3-2. He struck out 6 and walked 4 over 6 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. With the win, the Heat are 10-21.

Wade Gosselin had a big 2-run home run for the Heat in the bottom of the first inning. With Kelowna trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from John Wall and swatted a home run to right. It was his 21st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Heat ahead, 2-1.

"We poured it on tonight," said Gosselin.
