Golden Goebels Park was the site for Roberto Clemente League action featuring the Seattle Sasquatch and Houghton Gremlins.

Owen Stegemann, who led the RCL in innings pitched with 255.2 in 2049, was terrific for the Houghton Gremlins in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Seattle Sasquatch. His performance earned Stegemann rave reviews. Stegemann, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 4 walks.

Mark Launay went 2-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI for Houghton. The 20-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Chris Lechelt. It was his 40th hit of the season.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Stegemann.

The Gremlins move to 32-33 with the win, while the Sasquatch drop to 36-28.
