Vancouver Falters Again, Loses, 3-2, to Eureka
|
The Eureka Hornets picked up a win at The Nest, courtesy of Bobby Loscalzo. The right-hander helped his team stop the Vancouver Pioneers, 3-2. Loscalzo picked up the win for Eureka, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Eureka has a record of 4-3.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from center fielder Benny Rodriguez. For the game, Rodriguez went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Eureka a 3-1 lead.
"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Rodriguez. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
