Butterflies Stay Hot, Beat Sasquatch, 5-2
|
Seattle center fielder Freddy Salgado had a good game, even if his team did not. The Sasquatch dropped a 5-2 decision to Pennsylvania at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. Salgado was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Pennsylvania reliever Benito Sera snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Travis Reske shouldered the loss. Eric Reichel earned the save for Pennsylvania, his 15th.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Fidel Martinez? The Pennsylvania right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Butterflies on top, 4-1. For the game, Martinez had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You can't take yourself too seriously," Martinez told the Pennsylvania Herald. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
This win makes it 5 in a row for Pennsylvania.
