The Chicago Eclipse overcame a good performance by Bighorn third baseman Bobby Wilcox to knock off Bighorn, 6-2, at Ram Brewery Ballpark. Wilcox went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Alberto Calderon, the winner, goes to 8-4. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts over 7 innings. Jerry Bamberg earned save number 3 this season.

The Eclipse got a big at-bat from third baseman Dan Moran. For the game, Moran was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 times. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 28th double of the season gave Chicago a 1-0 lead.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Moran. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
