Pioneers Earn Win with Late Rally
The Vancouver Pioneers and San Francisco Earthquakes obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The Vancouver Pioneers topped the San Francisco Earthquakes, 7-6, in Thurman Munson League action at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The game was highlighted by the performance of Vancouver left fielder Luis Gallardo. Noel Belcher came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-0.

Steve Molyneaux chipped in a 3-run home run for Vancouver in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Gallardo told the Vancouver Chronicle. "Whatever it takes."

Vancouver has now won 5 in a row.
