Though he had a great game, Chris Elliott could not single-handedly produce a win for Montreal. Maple won the game, 5-2. Elliott went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Maple goes to 31-44, Montreal to 40-36.

Maple won the game in part because of Earl Bitner. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Marauders ahead, 3-1. For the game, Bitner had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
