Texans Pick Up 3-2 Win Over Bighorn
|
Dallas got a strong outing from Bobby Gilmore as the Texans defeated the Bighorn Bison, 3-2, at Ram Brewery Ballpark. Gilmore got the win, improving to 9-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Texans now have a mark of 30-43.
Dallas used a clutch at-bat from Art Finn to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Texans ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Bighorn manager Carlos Esparza said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
