Though he had a terrific game, Lateef Zitouna could not prevent his team, the Bloomington Blazers, from absorbing a loss. San Francisco won the game, 8-5. Zitouna was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Picking up the win was Steve Beauregard. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 1. Josh Christie was credited with the save for San Francisco, his 19th of the season.

Josh McBroom, who is rated as the 78th best prospect by BNN, helped out the San Francisco cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
