Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Hawaii Honu and Huntington Station Ramrods.

Hawaii registered a win at Station Center Yard by beating the Huntington Station Ramrods, 5-3. Pitcher Fernando Vazquez was one reason why the Honu triumphed. Vazquez picked up the win for Hawaii, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-2. Joe Fleury locked down his 8th save.

Hawaii used the hitting of Paul Cavanaugh to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Honu on top, 3-0. For the game, Cavanaugh had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
