Arnold Field was the site for Thurman Munson League action featuring the Jacksonville Pilots and Buffalo Bison.

The Buffalo Bison stormed past the Jacksonville Pilots, 18-7, at Arnold Field. Buffalo right fielderSteve Scott led the hit parade. He went 3-6 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Buffalo, at 37-23, is 2½ games up in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.

Buffalo won the game in part because of Josh Bye. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bison ahead, 8-6. For the game, Bye had 1 double and 1 home run in 6 at-bats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Buffalo skipper Jon Green.
