Mario Solis pitched well, but his team, the Pennsylvania Butterflies, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Dallas Texans at The Kaleidoscope. Chris Nugent collected his 11th save. At 33-37, Dallas is in 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.

Dallas took a 2-1 lead on Greg Shelton's 12th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Shelton hit in the top of the eighth, left Pennsylvania pitcher Mario Solis visibly frustrated.

"Good ballgame," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes. "But we came up on the short end."
