The timely hitting of Ramon Tapia helped the Kansas City Tornadoes take down the Eureka Hornets, 7-5, in 12 innings. Tapia was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Tornadoes. With the loss, Eureka is 5-3.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Tapia hit a fastball from Jason Leffert for a 2-run home run. The Tornadoes, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
