Bulldogs Top Cardinals Behind Perkis, 3-2
|
The Mississippi State Bulldogs got a stellar performance from pitcher Tony Perkis, who handcuffed the Stanford offense en route to a 3-2 win at Surfers Ballpark. Dakota Underwood picked up the save for Mississippi State, his 5th of the year. The 10th-place Bulldogs raised their record to 12-10.
The Cardinals had trouble solving Perkis, who surrendered no earned runs on 2 hits over 6 innings.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Perkis said.
