Burlison has 4 hit night as Tar Heels Squeeze Past Oklahoma

The North Carolina Tar Heels turned back the Oklahoma Sooners, 6-5, at Biglerville College Fields. Kevin Burlison was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Reliever David Wagner picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Zach Sutton took the loss. North Carolina now owns a record of 11-10.
Jim Markle's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a cutter from Zach Sutton for a 3-run home run. It put North Carolina in front, 6-5.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said North Carolina manager Calogero Bardelli.
