de la Cruz Slugs Green Wave to 9-5 Win
The Tulane Green Wave relied on the hitting of center fielder Alvaro de la Cruz to stop the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 9-5. For the game, de la Cruz slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Max Hull earned the win to go to 1-1. He allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts.
