The Antioch Coal Miners relied on the hitting of catcher Elijah Tapps to get by the Minneapolis Freeze, 14-2, in Game 2 of the Triple A League Championship. For the game, Tapps went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The clubs are now tied, 1-1.

Making an impact for the home team was Sergio Bravo. In the bottom of the fourth, the 23-year old third baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Coal Miners.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Antioch manager Jordan Hay.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at The Ice Box in Minneapolis.
